As a busy woman myself, I know that time is precious. I also know that what I put into my body is more or less going to be what I get out of it. When it comes to making compromises, needless to say, my health is not something I am willing to sacrifice. For me, it’s important that food is accessible, delicious and nutritious. Yet, with all the different “health” products out there, it can often be confusing to know what to buy and expensive in the end. Believe me, I’ve been there, and this is exactly why I have created this list of 14 Quick, Easy, Healthy Snacks for You to Grab & Go!
The Sad Truth
As obesity rates and health problems continue to rise, there is a hot market to sell ‘health’ products for busy professionals. Unfortunately, many of these products aren’t as healthy as they claim. They are often filled with preservatives, additives, flavorings, artificial foods, and yes, sugar. Many of the large companies care more about their bottom line than they do about your health. This means if there is a way to skimp on an ingredient, making it cheaper for them more often than not they will (example: adding rice syrup instead of a natural sweetener such as honey). There are a couple ways you can go about this challenge.
Make the Problem the Solution
1.) Be sure to ALWAYS read the ingredients.
Rule of thumb if there are more ingredients than you can count on your two hands, forget it. If you cannot pronounce or do not know what those ingredients are, chances are your body won’t be able to recognize it either.
2.) Choose to eat WHOLE food products
Sounds simple, and it is. The list I have provided gives 14 great recommendations for whole food products you can grab and go with little to no prep time.
3.) Make your own
The only way to be sure what is in something is to do it yourself. While this one requires a little bit more time, you can customize the item to be exactly how you like it and if you plan ahead of time you can make a big batch and keep it in the freezer to grab and go when you are ready.

Your health largely determines how you feel on a daily basis. Everything from how your brain functions, to your moods and of course how your body feels, is directly linked to what you put into your body. You are the only one responsible for the choices you make. Make the best choices now to prevent having to deal with the consequences later.
