The Key To Health Everybody’s Missing…

Discovering kinks in the digestive chain!

You can eat the healthiest diet in the world, but if your body is unable to digest properly, your body will struggle.  There is an old saying “You are what you eat,” but in reality, “You are what you digest.”  The question is, “Are you getting the most out of your digestion? The digestive system is complex and without having a large understanding of biology, how is one to know if they truly are digesting optimally?   Have no fear, the first step to understanding your body better is HERE! Below I’ll guide you through the at home digestion test so you can begin to increase your health today!

Let’s take a moment to look at the digestive system

Increase Your Digestion As you can see here from the picture above, the digestive system is HUGE!  It literally encompasses every organ from your mouth to your anus.

The Importance Of The Digestive System

This system is the very thing your body relies on in order to get the nutrients it needs to function optimally.  When there is a ‘kink in the chain,’ problems begin to appear.     If you are experiencing symptoms of any type – digestive, skin or congestion, the chances are there is an issue with one of these delicate mini-systems.     When the digestive system is in balance, the entire machine works incredibly well. Our immune systems are high, we have an abundant amount of energy, and our minds are clear.  When this system is out of balance, we can experience a myriad of symptoms some of which are listed below.   Symptoms:   Acid reflux Acne Belchingenhance digestion naturally Bloatedness Constipation Hormonal issues IBS Irritability/mood imbalances Fatigue Weight gain –And much much more

The Stomach

The stomach’s main job in the digestive system is to begin the breakdown process, known as metabolism.  The stomach takes masticated food and turns it into a substance called chyme (a mixture of gastric juices and partially digested food) then empties it into the first part of the small intestine (duodenum).  If there is not enough Hydrochloric Acid along with enzymes, such a pepsinogen, in order to properly digest it, this creates added stress on the rest of the digestive system.

The Test

This is a simple at-home test you can do tomorrow to see if the second and very important organ in your digestive system is working optimally.

The Baking Soda test

First thing when you wake up, before drinking or eating anything, take ½ cup water, mix it with ¼ teaspoon of baking soda and drink.  Set a timer for 5 minutes.  If you don’t burp within 5 minutes that is one sign, you may have low stomach acid.  If you do burp, congratulations; we know the stomach is up to par, and we can begin to move lower down in the digestive tract.

What to do if you do have low stomach acid?

Luckily, there are some holistic natural remedies you can do today to begin to aid in your stomach’s acid production. Hey Amanda,
you told me to email you, but I found this link, hope it works. We met in Goa, and for a few years I’ve been having these really annoying recurring yeast infections that are SUPER intense. I’ve been trying to heal it in many ways, herbs, detoxing, etc…but this last time I got super serious about it and just cut out all sugar, gluten, white rice, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, caffeine etc… been doing that for a month, and for a couple weeks was drinking oregano oil, coconut oil, milk thistle, neem. to kill the candida, because I read it starts in the digestive tract. even after a month though it came back, not as bad as before…but lightly…it comes around once a month usually. Then I tried boric acid suppositories, so I did that for a few days, its kinda scary so I didn’t continue past 3 days. and skipped 2 days and did one more day. so I’m still on the diet, got a test that said my B12 Is low, so have been on big doses of probiotics now, vitamins, extra b12 since today, detoxing with charcoal and diatomaceous earth, and still strict diet. I’m just not sure when I can start reintroducing some fruits or if ever, wheat? And potentially some chocolate or something would be great! haha.. .Thank for reading this and any little advice you can give me would be appreciated (( <3 ))

    1. Hey Saniketa,

Thanks so much for writing in. I personally know the struggle of candida, it is a very challenging order to overcome. Not only that but many people have different ways on how to handle it. The problem is many of the systems used don’t kill the albicans and merely only reduce the symptoms you feel and it’s only temporary which is what it seems might have happened in your case.

There are many things I could tell you to do, but until I get an idea of what your method has been when it all started and how severe it is, I don’t want to recommend things that won’t for sure bring you some relief. The best thing to do is to schedule a call with me which you can find on my offerings page and we can have a consultation where I can give you some concrete advice based upon your history.

      Hope this helps!

      Sending Love and Healing Vibes
