3 Simple #Foodthatfuels Recipes- Snack, Sip and Dine

 As I continue on this path to empowerment; my desire to continuously operate at my best and highest self,  Iam constantly changing up and refining what I put into my body.  My goal? To find my own unique recipe where each day I am left feeling better than the day before.

Of course, there are many obstacles that come in the way while on this journey, and the one I seem to bump up with most is my good old friend time.  However, when it comes to time, I know that the I will double my output if I give my body the #foodthatfuels.  Below are some recipes I used this week, each literally taking me less than 10 minutes to make.   This is how I to keep energized for “all the things.”

Energy Bliss balls

2 tbs cacao powder
1 1/2 cup pitted dates
1 tbs maca
1 tsp spirulina
1 tsp matcha powder
2 tbs coconut oil
1 tbs hempseed
1 tsp flaxseed
2 tbs shredded coconut unsweetened
1 tbs protein powder (optional)

1.) Heat coconut oil
2.) Mix all ingredients in a food processor
3.) Blend
4.) Roll into little balls
5.) Freeze (I like to roll in more coconut before freezing)

Turmeric Cacao Buzz drink

3-4 tbs cacao powder
1 tbs turmeric
2 tbs hempseed
1 tsp green superfood mix (I used spirulina)
1 tsp flax seed
1 tsp coconut oil
1 cup hot water
1 smidge shilajit
1 tsp honey
Sprinkle of cinnamon

1.) Combine all ingredients except honey, coconut oil and shilajit in a blender
2.) Blend
3.) Add honey, coconut oil, shilajit, top with cinnamon
4.) Enjoy!

This drink seriously gets me buzzing in the morning.  It’s delicious, anti-inflammatory, and energizing! Play around with the amounts to create your most satisfying concoction.  This beverage defines the name “superfood beverage,” it is full of protein, healthy fats, carbs and is loaded with antioxidants.

I made this this morning but as a smoothie by adding ice and a banana.  It was more filling and perfect for this hot summer day.

5 minute Vegan Street Tacos

1 cup pre-cooked quinoa (cook ahead of time)
1 can black beans
Corn tortillas
1 avocado
2 tbs nutritional yeast
1 tbs olive oil
Few sprigs chopped cilantro
Squeeze lime
Salt, pepper, red chili pepper flakes to taste

1.) In a pan head quinoa and beans
2.) Slice avocado
3.) Heat tortillas
4.) Add all ingredients to tortilla
5.) Enjoy

You can add whatever you like, fresh spinach, chopped peppers, salsa, tomato, anything really. This is just one way to have protein, fat and a good amount of B vitamins in one quick, easy and cheap meal.
